The Georgia Secretary of State’s office and Richmond County Board of Elections will demonstrate the state’s new voting machines Saturday at Good Shepherd Baptist Church.
The state Secure the Vote effort is bringing the machines to a health fair the church at 1714 Olive Road is holding from 8 a.m. to noon, a statement said.
All Georgia voters will use the new equipment, which prints a paper ballot voters insert to cast their vote, in the March 24 Presidential Preference Primary.
Using the new machines, Georgia will offer three weeks of early voting in the primary starting March 2 plus Saturday voting on March 14. Absentee voting by mail is available to all voters.
